I had a great turnout of Geocachers at the REI Saratoga store in San Jose, California… five very knowledgeable cachers stopped in after reading about it on Twitter. They got to check out the new device and ask questions about where we are headed with the new release. Brian Danz is Tweeting his store visits while he’s on tour in the Seattle area as well.
Keep an eye out because it looks like a great way to share information about our new Eartha geocoin releases too!

Thanks for stopping in to the Saratoga REI, Chip. The PN-40, the direction your team is taking, and the knowledgeable answers and straight talk we got from you has all combined to create some genuine excitement about the PN-40 in our local geocaching community.
Noah: While my tour is over and it’s back to work for me, there are others scheduled to travel. I don’t know an exact schedule for Oakland visits but I know that the company recognizes the importance of getting someone out to work with retail sales on a regular basis. Our new use of Twitter, our blog, and our forums should make it easier for people to find out when a member of Team DeLorme is going to be in the area. Right now we’ve got people in the Seattle area and in the Chicago area.
David Croyle: It was my pleasure to share the new device with all of you. I came away from that visit with lots of great ideas from all of you, thank you very much! I’m excited to say that we started working on a few of the suggestions immediately and will have them in our first firmware update.

I have been watching all day to see when Brian was going to be at the Alderwood REI in Washington. Never saw anything. Do you know which store he will be at tomorrow morning yet? Would love to see the PN-40 in action!
