Jim, glad you bought a PN-40! All of the devices, PN-20 and PN-40 do support paperless geocaching. I'm not sure of the firmware that will be on the device you receive, but the 2.5 firmware update is on the support site here and will give you all the special geocaching features. Good luck with the new device and let us know if you have any questions!

I was at GeoWoodstock and went by the booth a couple of times. Also attended the educational session. I was the guy who asked the most questions. I was very impressed with the PN40.

I was also excited to see that Delorme had donated several units for the auction and 1 for the drawing. I bid in all the auctions only to lose. I also missed out on the drawing. The next day, I was caching in Murfreesboro, TN and hooked up with a team from Texas. One of the ladies had lost the use of her Garmin during a kayaking trip a couple of days earlier and had purchased a PN40. I got to see it in action and loved it.

Needless to say I have one on the way courtesy of Ebay. It won't have the 8.0 topo but does have the 7.0 topo and I assume all the other bells and whistles.

Please, tell me all the PN-40's support paperless caching.

Can you confirm reports that there will be a fee charged for the Cache Register widget? If so, why is this the first we've heard about it?
